Descripción de la oferta: POSITION SUMMARY The Accounting Manager will review financial activities and transactions such as monthly financial statements, annual budgeting processes, oversight of financial reviews/controls/audits, and performing high-level business analysis. A critical component of this role includes applying strategic financial insight to identify and design new sources of revenue, ensuring the long-term profitability and growth of the sports complex. The ideal candidate functions as a strategic partner to management, translating complex financial data into actionable initiatives that maximize the facility's earning potential. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate financial and operational performance across multiple revenue streams. Provide in-depth financial analysis, variance reporting, and actionable insights to support strategic planning and executive decision-making. Deliver clear, data-driven financial reports to senior leadership, enhancing organizational transparency and performance management. Accounting Operations Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions such as cash receipts, vendor payments, and credit card reconciliations. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and year-end closing activities. Liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with fiscal regulations. Budgeting & Forecasting Coordinate and direct the development and preparation of budgets, forecasts, and projections. Monitor spending and help create budgets that align with the organization's financial health. Analyze financial data to detect cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation. Support strategic and operational planning through proactive financial modeling. Internal Controls & Compliance Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets. Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to GAAP, tax laws, and company policies. Oversee tax filings and compliance requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Bachelor’s Degree Accounting/Finance or relevant certification is a must. Previous accounting experience and supervisory experience is a must. Prior experience in sports, hospitality or food & beverage preferred. Proficient in financial management systems or/and accounting systems such as QuickBooks. Well organized and able to manage multiple projects on a routine basis. Strong management, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting functions. Strong business communications skills verbal and written. Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
