The Municipal Alliance of Integrated Services, Inc. (AMSI) is an Employment Network that offers services in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Employment Networks are private organizations or government agencies committed to working in partnership with Social Security to provide employment services to beneficiaries with disabilities.

The Employment Network you choose will serve as an important part of your “employment team” that will help you on your path to financial independence.

What is an employment network?

Employment networks may be private organizations or government agencies that have agreed to work with the Social Security Administration to provide services in occupational counseling, job search assistance, and ongoing support once placed in employment.

How does the program work?

When you are part of the Ticket to Work program, the services of Certified Planners (WIPA), Employment Networks, Vocational Rehabilitation, PABSS and the Social Security Administration are available to you. These agencies work together to provide the beneficiary with all the services and support he or she may need during reentry into the labor market.

Purpose

Service

The assigned Collaborators provide a strategy aimed at facilitating and ensuring that the participant’s needs are effectively coordinated by developing an Individual Employment Plan. We also offer Individualized Counseling, Case Management, Occupational Guidance, Resume Preparation, Job Referrals, among others.

Benefits

The Ticket to Work program is free and voluntary. It gives the Social Security Disability beneficiary more opportunities to participate in the workforce and reduce his or her economic dependence. They enjoy the safety nets provided by the different phases of the program. Helps eliminate fears of losing your benefits or medical coverage if you return to the labor market. You will not undergo medical examinations while you are active in the program.
