Individual Training Account
ITA’s
The Municipal Alliance of Integrated Services, Inc. (AMSI) under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) offers the opportunity to be part of an Individual Training Account which aims to train and coach eligible participants from the municipalities that make up our Local Area.
What is an ITA?
These are classes, courses or structured regimen that upon successful completion lead to a Certificate, Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
Do I have to pay for this service?
The ITA is a mechanism to pay for training services to eligible providers (educational institutions listed in LEPESA) based on the participant’s occupational interests, in direct consultation with the Job Career Coach.
This means that AMSI, through WIOA funds, covers those study expenses that the Pell Grant does not cover in order to provide them with the tools to become certified and employed.
What is a "job career coach"?
Job Career Coaches are AMSI collaborators responsible for providing specialized assessment services, occupational interest testing, strategies and individual employment plans; coordinated and integrated activities and services centered on the participant. In addition, they collaborate with the participant in identifying the occupational training and educational institution that best suits his or her interests and needs to facilitate and ensure that his or her goals are achieved.
What is LEPESA?
Statewide List of Eligible Training Service Providers (LEPESA) – Official public list prepared by the Workforce Development Program (WDP) as recommended by the Local Boards, based on the occupational demand in their local area; and containing the programs of certified training service providers eligible to offer WIOA-funded subsidized training. This list includes information on the execution levels and costs of each program.
