Descripción de la oferta: ❑EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university; or 3 to 5 years of Telecommunications Project Specialist experience working with IXC’s, CLEC’s and Wireless Companies. ❑TELECOMMUNICATIONS Basic knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of Telecommunications systems. ❑CUSTOMER AND PERSONAL SERVICE Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. ❑ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. ❑LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interprets the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Fully Bilingual (Spanish - English) ❑MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply basic mathematical formulas and statistical models to understand financial figures and traffic distribution models. ❑REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. ❑OTHER SKILLS •Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, etc. •Project Management. •Problem Solving Abilities. •Training Design. •Capacity planning and traffic modeling of large-scale telecommunications systems. •Knowledge of both circuit switch and IP networks. •Knowledge of PSTN, HFC Cable networks, VoIP, IP routing and addressing schemes.
Responsabilidades: ❑Negotiates interconnection and exchange of traffic agreements with IXCs, other CLECs, wireless carriers and ILECs. Research industry accepted methods and procedures for charges associated with the exchange of carrier traffic. Directs others within the WorldNet Engineering and Operations Groups to ensure the trunk configuration and capacity meets the demand. Performs other duties as assigned or as the position demands. ❑For new wireless access point implementations, gather all necessary information to evaluate an optimal location to implement the new access point. Information gathering must include, but not limited to, customer locations and current monthly income, rental space monthly recurring costs, access to fiber infrastructure for network connectivity, etc. ❑Work closely with the Network Engineering Operations (NEO) group to implement new FCC regulations that require technology implementations. ❑Assist other departments (if necessary) in efforts to identify fraud, work resolutions and control the situation. ❑For new HUB implementations, coordinate with contractors to perform site visits and occasional inspects to ensure the construction is accomplished according to the engineering specifications. ❑Performs other duties as assigned or as the position demands.
