Education Pays
Once you have completed your fourth year, deciding whether to attend college, get a job, or pursue a short degree can sometimes be a difficult decision. There are statistics that can help with that decision. Education is important and can help us develop a career path towards a stable career, but higher education is not for everyone. The good news is that there are many options available, from vocational schools, two-year degree programs, online programs, four-year programs to graduate programs. Going to college can lead to higher salary potential, greater opportunities, and personal and professional growth.
We often hear the phrase “keep studying”. Today that advice is more important than ever. More education equals better pay and improves your chances of entering and staying in the job market.
1. Income increases with each year of study completed and is generally higher when you have earned a formal academic degree.
2. Being educated pays off, as better educated workers develop certain skills that allow them to learn tasks more easily, and they are generally more organized.
3. Employers want employees who have a higher skill set, who possess a higher level of learning and knowledge so that they can meet the demands of the workplace.
